WISH LISTS
1) VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are at the top of Launa's Little Library's Wish List!  We are so grateful for the folks who give of their time to help at the Library. They play a vital role in keeping up with the daily work flow, and also help with other special projects. Click here to see how you can help.

2) NEW BOOKS
We are always eager to receive new books for the Library.  Sometimes families want to donate a favorite book, or a new book that they have heard about, or one that simply catches their eye in the book store.  If you are in doubt, you can always refer to our  Books Wish Lists, which are divided into two sections:
  a) books that are new to the Library, and
  b) books to replace those that have been withdrawn as lost or damaged.
I will do my best to keep these lists current.

3) USED BOOKS
It's always a pleasure to receive used children's books that folks are ready to pass on.  The breadth and diversity of the collection is a good reflection of the generosity of our library families!  Donated used books fall into one of three groups:

  1) if the Library does not have them, and they fit into the collection, we add them.

  2) if the Library already has them, but the donated copies are in better condition, we upgrade.

  3) if the books, for whatever reason, do not fit into the collection, they go one of three places:
     a) larger "like new" books get set aside for a consignment sale, to generate income for the
          Library.
     b) some "gently used" books are donated to the Friends of the Audelia Branch Library, for
their monthly book sale. Proceeds benefit Audelia Branch Library.
     c) most "well-loved" books are donated to a charity that places used books into the hands
          of children that need them.

4) CASH DONATIONS
Monetary gifts throughout the year enable us to purchase the supplies and program materials that we need, so that we can continue to serve the community as we have in the past.  Our budget for 2012 is a little over $10,000.  If you wish to contribute, checks can be made out to "Launa's Little Library" or "Arthiss Kliever." All cash donations are tax-deductible.  Thank you for your continued support!

LOVE JUG:  The Love Jug sits in the Library year-round, as a depository for small change that the children enjoy contributing, and small donations made in lieu of fees when books are overdue.  The Love Jug is emptied twice a year, and all monies in the Love Jug are used to purchase new books.
