1) VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers will always be at the top of Launa's Little Library's Wish List! We are so grateful for the folks who give of their time to help at the Library. They play a vital role in keeping up with the daily work flow, and also help with other special projects. Click here to see how you can help.
2) NEW BOOKS
We are always eager to receive new books for the Library. Sometimes families want to donate a favorite book, or a new book that they have heard about, or one that simply catches their eye in the book store. If you are in doubt, you can always refer to our Books Wish Lists, which are divided into two sections:
a) books that are new to the Library, and
b) books to replace those that have been withdrawn as lost or damaged.
I will do my best to keep these lists current.

3) USED BOOKS
It's always a pleasure to receive used children's books that folks are ready to pass on. The breadth and diversity of the collection is a good reflection of the generosity of our library families! Donated used books fall into one of three groups:
1) if the Library does not have it, and it fits into the collection, we add it.
2) if the Library already has it, but the donated copy is in better condition, we upgrade.
3) if the book, for whatever reason, does not fit into the collection, it goes one of two places:
a) "like new" or "gently used" books get set aside for a consignment sale,
to generate income for the Library.
b) "well-loved" books are donated to a charity that places used books
into the hands of children that need them.
4) CASH DONATIONS
The Libary's budget for the school year 2009-10 is right at $7,000. Our fall Birthday Bash Fund-Raiser generated about $3,500. Additional monetary gifts throughout the year will enable us to purchase the supplies and program materials that we need, so that we can continue to serve the community as we have in the past. Checks can be made out to "Launa's Little Library" or "Arthiss Kliever." All cash donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your continued support!
